Welcome to Muncie Central High School

A Professional Development School in Collaboration with Ball State University.

Parents and Students:
We are once again in the middle of flu season. We all know that getting the flu means several days of aches, pains, and nausea and in turn can affect jobs and school attendance.  The experts have put together several suggestions for ways that you can stay healthy this winter and possibly avoid the flu viruses.

  • It's never too late for a flu shot
  • Wash your hands frequently, especially after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing into your hands
  • Avoid sharing drinks or food and stay away from persons who are ill
  • Eat right and get enough sleep, avoid allowing yourself to become run down
  • If you are sick with a fever or vomiting, stay home from work or school

Attention Students:

Some students have loaded applications (Apps) onto their school iPads that are not permitted by the Muncie Community Schools Responsible Use Policy.  Our technology department has the ability to identify these Apps through the network.  As unacceptable Apps are identified, we will disable the iPads containing these Apps.  If we have to disable your iPad, you will have to turn it in to for us to remove the Apps and re-enable the iPad.

You can avoid having your iPad disabled by voluntarily removing these Apps at this time.  The following Apps must be removed:  Puffin Free – Kik – Tango – SnapChat – Instagram – Facebook.

Beginning Tuesday, December 9th we will start disabling iPads that we identify as not complying with the Muncie Community Schools Responsible Use Policy, starting with this list but including any others we identify.

After December 9th, remaining Apps or re-downloading Apps that do not comply with school policy will be subject to disciplinary action.

This is your opportunity to clean up your iPad.

Thank you for your cooperation.
