Mr. James Widmer as Band Director
The Muncie Community Schools Board of Trustees hired Mr. Adam Morris as the Boys’ Varsity Football
Coach/Teacher at Muncie Central High School.
Mr. Morris obtained his Bachelor of Science from Ball State
University majoring in Special Education with a concentration area in Mild
Interventions and Moderate Cognitive Disabilities with licensed areas in
Special Education M.I., Physical Education, and Health Education. Adam has been a special education teacher at
Lawrence North High School and he is currently a physical education at Warren
Central High School and is the defensive line coach for the varsity football team
and the head JV football coach.
Adam is a graduate of Dublin Scioto High School, Dublin, OH where
he was voted Team Captain two consecutive seasons, was selected twice for the
All-Conference and All-district Teams , and selected as Team MVP as a senior. He also earned four varsity letters in track
and field where he holds the school record in both shot put and discus. As a student athlete at Ball State University
Adam was a starter for twenty-four consecutive games, was voted Team Captain his
senior year, and was the recipient of the Paul Schudel Strength and
Conditioning Award in 2011.
Adam‘s coaching philosophy; “It is my mission to establish a
program that requires student athletes to be disciplined and accountable in all
areas of their lives. Football is the
tool used to mold high school athletes into positive young adults fully
prepared to be productive members of society.
My program will teach young people to be self-less and have the ability
to overcome adversity. By building
championship young men, you will create CHAMPIONSHIP caliber football teams.”
