About our school
Morrison-Mock Elementary School, which opened in 1966, was named after long-time Muncie educator Dr. Nellie Morrison, and physician Dr. Harry Mock. Since 1966 Morrison-Mock has evolved to become a fully integrated school where the Morrison-Mock community facilitates the development of the whole child. Morrison-Mock serves a diverse population:
Regular Education
Mild Disabilities
Severe Disabilities
Multiply Handicapped
Preschool Special Education
Developmental Kindergarten
Head Start
As effective communication unites our school in a common mission, students become independent learners who apply their knowledge to making new discoveries in our ever-changing world. The Morrison-Mock philosophy is enhanced by the Family Association, a dedicated group of parents who continue to sponsor and organize projects that provide services to families and students. These programs include Market Day, Saturday basketball for K-3, child care during parent/teacher conferences, awards, and incentives for student achievement.
Morrison-Mock Elementary School, in a partnership agreement with Teachers College, Ball State University, is committed to meeting the following goals:
Teacher Preparation
Staff Development
