Principal Charles Reynolds is a proud product of Muncie Community Schools and an alumnus of Wilson Middle School and Southside High School. He earned his Bachelor and Masters degree from Ball State University in 1998 and 2005 respectively. Additionally, Mr. Reynolds is currently pursuing his doctorate in education at Ball State University.
Before coming to Wilson as the Principal, Mr. Reynolds served as the associate principal at Southside High School, an assistant principal at Wilson Middle School, instrumental music teacher at Southside High School, Wilson Middle School, and Eastbrook Jr./ Sr. High School. Through these valuable experiences, he has learned to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, support staff, and other administrators to facilitate a positive culture for student learning. This atmosphere promoted student and teacher success that many thought was not possible.
Mr. Reynolds is truly excited to be the new Principal of Wilson Middle School. Wilson Middle School has a rich tradition and a long history of academic excellence and providing a nurturing atmosphere for all students to find success. The faculty and staff take pride in their work and have a passion for Wilson’s students. During his first few days at Wilson, he has found this pride and passion to be genuine and true.
Mr. Reynolds is committed to providing educational opportunities at Wilson Middle School through rigorous, differentiated instruction aligned with the MCS curriculum in a structured and orderly environment. Through the 8 Step Process, he knows we can make Wilson Middle School an even better place for our students to learn, grow, and thrive. Rhonda Ward received her BS in Psychology from Tennessee State University where she ran on a track and cross country scholarship. She went on to receive her MAE from Ball State University and years later completed the Principal Licensure Program through Indiana Wesleyan University. Ms. Ward is a native of Muncie as well as a product of Muncie Community Schools. All of her educational experience has been with Muncie Community Schools; elementary teacher, high school cross country and track coach, interventionist, and data coach.
Ms. Ward is a firm believer that all students can learn and achieve and is very passionate about helping students reach their fullest potential. She is very involved in the TSU Alumni Association and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and in her spare time loves to shop, travel, and visit with her family and friends. Ms. Ward strongly believes with God, all things are possible and is very proud to serve as the new assistant principal and athletic director.

Assistant Principal, Kelli Turner, earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Ball State University in 2008. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Math from Ball State University in 2004. Before coming to Wilson, Mrs. Turner spent eight years at Northside Middle School as an assistant principal and middle school math teacher. Mrs. Turner coached both basketball and track and was the Athletic Director at Northside Middle School.
Mrs. Turner believes that all students can learn and achieve at high levels. The 8-Step Process will provide students the opportunity to reach their potential and prepare them for the future. Mrs. Turner works collaboratively with teachers, students, parents, and other administrators to facilitate a positive school culture and climate. As an assistant principal, Mrs. Turner has high expectations for student behavior at Wilson Middle School.
Mrs. Turner is married to an educator and has two young daughters. In her spare time, Mrs. Turner enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys gardening and watching football.
