Expulsion School

The Priority Expulsion School has been made possible by a collaborative effort amongst the school corporations of Delaware County.  Students who would normally be expelled from their school are able to attend Expulsion School as an alternative educatonal placement.  Highly qualified teachers provide the instruction in the core content areas as well as some elective classes.  Students are able to earn a minimum of 5 credits while in Expulsion School each semester of their expulsion.

Classes at Expulsion School begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Classrooms have a low teacher to student ratio; on average 1:15.  Each classroom also has a full time YOC staff member that provides classroom management support.  A full time Muncie Police Officer is on duty to keep the educational setting safe and conducive to learning.  If you have any questions about Expulsion School contact your local school district or Michael Shunneson at mshunneson@muncie.k12.in.us.
