The Human Resources team supports school staff and district leaders by helping create a positive and welcoming work environment where everyone can succeed. MCS is committed to hiring excellent teachers, staff members, and administrators.
First-year teachers earn a starting salary of $52,500, which is more than a 40% increase from where it was in 2020, and places MCS among the highest-paying districts in the area. Certified, experienced teachers make much more.
MCS believes in paying its educators as much as possible while keeping the district on sound financial footing overall. It benefits from having no teacher contracts and a generous compensation committee that advises the school board on salary issues. This occasionally allows for higher-than-expected annual pay raises as well. In addition, MCS provides every teacher ongoing professional development opportunities and lower-than-average class sizes.
