Transportation

• Review the Auxilio transportation map, below, for your child's school. 
• If your child needs transportation, please complete a student transportation form.
• It may take up to four days for the transportation request to be processed and completed. Auxilio will contact you with specific route information through the phone number and email address you provided on the form. Information will also be available through Versatrans e-Link
•  For safety reasons, students may not ride a bus until their name appears on the appropriate bus roster. Please wait for transportation confirmation before sending your child to the bus stop.

Additional Transportation Information

For students requiring transportation services who do not live along an established MCS bus route, MITS may be the best solution. Using the MITS system often requires a change of buses at the MITS Station downtown, but the process is pretty simple and efficient. For a short tutorial on how to plan and carry out a trip using MITS, please watch one of the videos below. 

No. Students ride free, but should be prepared to show their school ID when boarding.

Children 5 years old and younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

MITS fares for an accompanying guardian

• One-way fare: $0.50
• Day pass: $1.00 for unlimited rides
• 30-day pass: $18.00
• Reduced-fare passes: Available under certain conditions.

Note: Bus arrival and departure times are approximate and may vary. Please consult the MITS schedule found here.

Northside Middle School and Southside Middle School MITS  bus:

• Buses begin arriving around 3:55 p.m.
• Buses depart around 4:15 p.m.

Muncie Central High School MITS bus:

• The first buses arrive around 3:00 p.m. and depart around 3:15 p.m.
• Additional buses arrive around 3:20 p.m. and depart around 3:30 p.m.

Elementary Schools MITS bus:

MITS buses do not pull up to elementary schools for general student pick-ups. MITS routes operate within two blocks of all elementary schools, except North View Elementary School.

MITS buses all run within two blocks of the schools. Regular route buses all travel to and from the downtown transfer station stopping along the way at most intersection and entertainment points. Students  need to know the location of the closest bus stop to the school. Please consult the MITS schedule found here.
