Enrollment Guidance
Thank you for choosing Muncie Community Schools. MCS is committed to meaningful educational experiences that further students’ development along the path to graduation. From cutting-edge STEM courses to immersive foreign language programs, MCS is equipped to prepare students for success. Thanks to a deep-rooted partnership with Ball State University, our educators have unparalleled access to training and professional development resources.
Families may complete school pre-registration online at their convenience. For those who prefer in-person assistance or need help completing the process, staff will be available at each school during the regular school year and on select dates in the summer listed on the District calendar to provide support. Families are welcome to attend any of the school sessions to receive help with forms, documentation, or questions about registration.
Below, you will find enrollment options for the three categories of K-12 students. All three options require use of a Parent Portal account. Should you need assistance with this contact your child's school or visit the enrollment support page.
Please click on the one that describes your student:
- Current - students who are currently enrolled and attending in MCS (including MCS preschool)
- New - students who have never been enrolled in MCS (including MCS preschool)
- Former- Inactive Students who left the District and are returning to MCS
For information about MCS Preschool visit their webpage here. Our program has expanded significantly in recent years due to demand, and space is limited. Priority is given to 4-year-olds, but 3-year-olds are accepted if space allows.
